چکیده
Unilateral contact problems in elasticity (Duvaut and Lions, 1976) have been extensively studied in the last two decades (Andersson and Klarbring, 2001; Angelov and Liolios, 2004; Cǎpǎtinǎ and Cocu, 1991; Cocu, 1984; Demkowicz and Oden, 1982; Duvaut and Lions, 1976; Hlavaček et al., 1988; Kikuchi and Oden, 1988; Klarbring et al., 1989; Lee and Oden, 1993a,1993b; Ne čas et al., 1980; Oden and Carey, 1984; Panagiotopoulos, 1975; 1985; Rabier and Oden, 1987; 1988). Special attention has been paid to static contact problems with friction, describing one step (increment) in the actual quasistatic processes (Lee and Oden, 1993a; Oden and Carey, 1984). Since the problems are nonlinear, existence and uniqueness results were obtained using fixed point methods (Andersson and Klarbring, 2001; Cǎpǎtinǎ and Cocu, 1991; Cocu, 1984; Demkowicz and Oden, 1982; Kikuchi and Oden, 1988; Klarbring et al., 1989; Ne čas et al., 1980). Based on these methods, and the finite element method, various algorithms were proposed for solving the resulting finite dimensional systems of nonlinear equations (Angelov and Liolios, 2004; Cǎpǎtinǎ and Cocu, 1991; Glowinski, 1984; Hlavaček et al., 1988; Kikuchi and Oden, 1988; Lee and Oden, 1993a; 1993b).

Solution of the Contact Elasticity Problem Based on an Iterative Proximal Regularization Method for the Modified Lagrangian Functional
The method of successive approximation is considered for solving the contact elasticity problem which corresponds to the quasivariational Signorini problem. Auxiliary problems with given frictions arising from each external step of this method are solved by the Uzawa method with iterative proximal regularization of the modified Lagrangian functional. A mixed formulation for a Tresca frictional contact problem in linear elasticity is considered in the context of boundary integral equations, which is later extended to Coulomb friction . The discrete Lagrange multiplier, an approximation of the surface traction on the contact boundary part, is a linear combination of biorthogonal basis functions. In case of curved elements, these are the solut...

A systematic way is presented for the construction of multi-step iterative method with frozen Jacobian. The inclusion of an auxiliary function is discussed. The presented analysis shows that how to incorporate auxiliary function in a way that we can keep the order of convergence and computational cost of Newton multi-step method. The auxiliary function provides us the way to overcome the singul...
متن کاملElzaki transform method for finding solutions to two-dimensional elasticity problems in polar coordinates formulated using Airy stress functions
In this paper, the Elzaki transform method is used for solving two-dimensional (2D) elasticity problems in plane polar coordinates. Airy stress function was used to express the stress compatibility equation as a biharmonic equation. Elzaki transform was applied with respect to the radial coordinate to a modified form of the stress compatibility equation, and the biharmonic equation simplified t...

The governing equations of three dimensional elasticity problems include the six Beltrami-Michell stress compatibility equations, the three differential equations of equilibrium, and the six material constitutive relations; and these are usually solved subject to the boundary conditions. The system of fifteen differential equations is usually difficult to solve, and simplified methods are usual...
